BLOGGING THRU THE BIBLE: Book of Job A Summary

Blogging thru Bible New

Congratulations girls, it was such a journey with the Book of Job study. There were ups and downs and mostly the suffering, made me realise how blessed we are because of Christ. HIS GRACE for victory, peace, provision and everything we need.

Most important, despite his sufferings, we see Job expressing exemplary faith in the Lord. Job calls God as:

  • “The Almighty”, the God before whom Job preferred to argue his case

  • One who is “wise and all powerful”, impossible to oppose

  • The sovereign Creator over the earth

  • The source of life

  • “The Mighty One”

  • “The Holy One”

  • The only righteous One and source of justice, “Judge”

  •  The only one who has the right to condemn a man for sin

  • “Witness” and “Advocate”

  • “Living Redeemer”

  • Hope of resurrection and eternal life

  • One who was worthy of unrelenting commitment to righteousness, even when God seemed unfair

In Job 19;25-27, Job refers to God as Redeemer (“one who defends or avenges the cause of another”). Jesus is our Redeemer , Hallelujah! God sent his only Son to redeem us all from destruction, sin, guilt, shame, condemnation. Jesus paid our debt!

How beautiful, let’s sit and meditate on that thought!

Let’s sing this famous hymn- There is a Redeemer ❤

There Is A Redeemer Hymn

There is a redeemer,
Jesus, God’s own Son,
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah,
Holy One,
Jesus my redeemer,
Name above all names,
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah,
Oh, for sinners slain.

Thank you oh my father,
For giving us Your Son,
And leaving Your Spirit,
‘Til the work on Earth is done.
When I stand in Glory,
I will see His face,
And there I’ll serve my King forever,
In that Holy Place.

Thank you oh my father,
For giving us Your Son,
And leaving Your Spirit,
‘Til the work on Earth is done.
There is a redeemer,
Jesus, God’s own Son

Precious Lamb of God, Messiah,
Holy One,
Thank you oh my father,
For giving us Your Son,
And leaving Your Spirit,
‘Til the work on Earth is done.
And leaving Your Spirit,
‘Till the work on Earth is done.
