PRAYER: I am Blessed – Let me be a Blessing to others

Thank You, Lord, for this beautiful day, so full of love, unity and peace! I feel so grateful and honoured to be a redeemed child of the most High God, born of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God! Thank You for sending Your precious son, Jesus, to die for me, so that the abundant life I live will only get better and better, with each passing day. I declare that Your favor is upon me. I am an ambassador of Christ and will continue spread the Good News to all that I meet.

Genesis 22:18 In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.

Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Father, I know that I am a special person, recreated in Christ Jesus, that I will do the great things that You have prepared for me. I pray that as continue in my walk with You, I will also be a blessing to those I meet today. Let the light and love of Jesus shine so brightly within me that on the outside it will illuminate for all to see. I want to be that person, Lord, who others can look at and just know that Christ lives in me. I also pray that I will be bold enough to give a word of encouragement or even just a smile to the strangers who cross my path. May I truly be a blessing to those I encounter along my life’s journey.

Luke 6:38 – Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.

2 Corinthians 5:20 – Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.

Almighty God, may I continue to hear the Holy Spirit as He guides and counsels me. In all situations, help me to be obedient! Master of the Universe, my Protector, my God, in whom I confidently trust, hear my prayer. In Jesus’ mighty name, SO BE IT… Amen and Amen!

Ephesians 2:10 – For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

1 Peter 1:22 – You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth. So now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart.

In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God bless.

PRAYER: Use the Pray-It Method When Reading Scripture

Image result for prayer

“The LORD is my shepherd; I have everything I need. He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water” (Psalm 23:1-2 GNT).

You can use a variety of methods to meditate on Scripture and apply it to your life. Each will emphasize something a little different, but the goal is always to get the most out of your time in the Word.

With the pray-it method, you put whatever passage you’re studying in first-person and pray it back to God. Using this method, you don’t have to wonder whether to pray or read the Bible first during your quiet time. You do them together! And you know your prayer will be answered because it’s in Scripture.

Here’s how you might do it with Psalm 23: “Thank you, Lord, for being my shepherd. Thank you for making me lie down in green pastures. Thank you for leading me beside quiet waters. Thank you for restoring my soul. Thank you for guiding me in the paths of righteousness for your name’s sake.”

Stop and think about the prayer for a bit. Has God ever made you lie down? Sometimes we don’t have enough sense to rest or relax. Sometimes God forces you to lie down. Sometimes he makes you lie down in green pastures because you are not taking care of yourself. That’s something to thank God for!

Have you ever felt down and depressed but then God restored you? Does God lead you down right paths? Of course! Psalm 23 provides a great opportunity to thank God for what he has done in your life.

Meditating on Scripture using the pray-it method will open up a whole new world to you in God’s Word.

God bless.

PRAYER:Don’t Give Up

Image result for prayer

Father, I humbly approach your throne of grace and mercy today to request that You touch the lives of those who are struggling, battling and fighting with what we cannot even begin to comprehend. Illnesses and diseases, depression and anxiety. Father, I rebuke them in Your mighty name, I curse it out!

Jeremiah 33:3 Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 – Pray without ceasing

Be their guide, be their comforter, Lord, please draw near. Wrap them in Your warm loving arms as I pray that they don’t give up. They will cling to You and feel Your strength and mighty power as it infiltrates their minds, bodies and souls and emerge from the darkness victorious as the mount up on wings as the eagles.

Mark 1:35 –  Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.

They will soar high and as they do, they praise Your Holy name. Father, be that little glimmer of hope that they would keep hanging on to.

I pray that whatever they are struggling with will vanish and they will be over-comers, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

Philippians 4:6 – Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God

Matthew 7:11 – If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

PRAYER:5 Powerful Spiritual Warfare Prayers to Start Your Day

Image result for prayer

It happens to all of us. We are in a hurry, or distracted, running late and we forget to start off our day with prayer.

Heading off into our day without a solid foundation of prayer is like skipping breakfast, and we are soon feeling weak and confused and unable to cope with the spiritual trials of our day. We make mistakes, get angry, and say things we wish we hadn’t. We offend our Lord by sinning.

Spiritual warfare prayers are prayers that help strengthen us for whatever we will face in the day to come. They are like putting on armour to keep us strong and safe. Warfare prayers are preemptive strikes against the enemy of our souls.

PRAYER of protection

Lord, as I begin my day, I pray that You would fill me with Your Holy Spirit.Cover me with your protecting wings and keep me safe from harm and spiritual attacks.Help me to speak only the words you would have me speak, do only the things you would have me do, and think only the thoughts you would have me think that I may please you.Help me to be a reflection of you so others will seek you as well.

PRAYER FOR Putting the spiritual armour

Father God, I ask you to help me put on the spiritual armour that will protect me from harm and help me stand before the enemy. Help me to tie the belt of truth around my waist, and protect my heart with the breastplate of righteousness. Let me place upon my feet the preparation of the gospel of peace, so that I can share the good news with others and help me hold in my hands the shield of faith that can put out the flaming darts of the wicked one. Protect my mind from ungodly thoughts with the helmet of salvation and arm me with the sword of the Spirit which is the living word of God.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armour of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

PRAYER OF GRATITUDE

Thank you, Lord, for another day. Help me to have a spirit of gratitude for all that you do for me. Thank you for health, a home, food on my table and friends and family. Thank you for salvation, for freedom from sin. I give you thanks and praise for sending your son to die on the cross so I could live in you and have eternal life. The joy of the Lord is my strength; help me to walk in that strength. Help me to share the joy of the Lord with others around me so they will draw near to you.

Psalm 118: 2 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, his love endures forever.

PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL IDENTITY

Thank you, Jesus, for dying for me. As a blood bought child of God I am a co-heir with Christ, my Father is the King and I am an adopted son/daughter of God. As a child of God, I am strong, holy and redeemed. The enemy no longer has any rights to me, he cannot touch me. The blood of Jesus has cleansed me from all my sin, and I am no longer living under condemnation. Thank you for my identity in Christ, I am a sinner saved by grace.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God,  who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

PRAYER FOR THE BLESSINGS OF THE LORD

Lord help me to obey your will and listen to your voice so that I can live in your blessing, for your word says that you will bless those who are obedient and listen to you. Give me an obedient heart so that you may bless me wherever I go. As I obey you, bless my children, my home, my food and my finances. Bless all that I put my hand to and bless the very land on which I walk. May all the peoples of the world learn that you bless those who seek you. Help me to be a blessing to everyone around me.

Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

None of these prayers takes very long to pray, and they will help you start your day off right. By spending just a few minutes you will set a positive tone to your day and help yourself grow spiritually.

You will have the protection, strength and peace to face whatever the day will bring your way. You will shine spiritually and others will be drawn to the light of God in you.

The Lord wants to protect you and bless you, he loves you and thinks of you constantly and wants to give you peace and hope for the future, and by praying in this way you will give Him permission.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

May God bless you as you declare His goodness in the morning.

PRAYER: Letting Go

Image result for prayer

Oh King of Heaven, how we love Thee! You our Father are magnificent and none can compare to your Glory. We bow down before you to humbly ask that you help us release every negative thought, every trace of doubt and every bit of fear that may lurk deep within our hearts. Help us to let go of the things that consume our happiness as we declare you release joy into our lives.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Father we ask your assistance in letting go of ideals, old patterns or habits that no longer serve us, arguments and limiting beliefs. Help us to remember that letting go is a healthy practice to maintain joy and peace within our hearts as well as our lives.

Isaiah 43:18-19 “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Lord remind us that letting go also means finding forgiveness. Whether it is forgiving yourself or forgiving a person who betrayed you. Help us to release the past and let go of the pain and anger that destroys our ability to show compassion.

Luke 6:37 “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;

Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Help us, Oh Loving Father, to remember everything in our lives happen for a reason and you alone know why. For you make all things work together for our good. Every detail, every event, whether big or small, is all part of your plan, to shape us and mold us into the persons we are meant to be. Knowing this now, we declare that every situation that makes our hearts heavy, be released…

In Jesus’ most precious name, AMEN!!

PRAYER: Prosperity and Financial Blessings

Heavenly Father, we thank you, and bless you that in this life, you have already provided all that we can ask or need in this life. Thank you Father, that your provision is not based on our efforts, but entirely based on the inheritance given to us by the death of Jesus Christ, that your heart is always for us, and that the promises towards us, are Yes and Amen. We thank you that it is already done, and by our agreement with this truth, we speak for the manifestation of the inheritance of the saints to all those in need.

2 Peter 1:3  According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue

Father, it is your desire for us that we would experience  prosperity in all that we put our hands to do. For there is great need in this world, and we desire to be in a position that we can give to every good work, that the Kingdom may advance and lives can be transformed by your amazing love. We speak forth promotions, business ideas, divine connections and partnerships. We stir up the same creative spirit that made the heavens and the Earth, to bring forth new ideas and inventions for the betterment of this world, that we can be a blessing to many.

3 John 1:2  Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Order our steps into the provision that you, Oh God, have already granted us, your children. We release your Spirit to deliver these things into our hands, that we can walk in the provision of heaven, and not be bound by the systems of this world. It is for this freedom that you have set us free. So Lord Jesus, be our savior from debts, burden and financial struggle. Set us free in our finances, just as you have saved us from sin, death and the grave. Give us wisdom and joy that we can be good stewards over all that you deliver into our hands. Continue to advance the work of those that do good work, and help us to continue to provide for those in need, both spiritually and physically.

Deuteronomy 8:18  But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Amen!!!!

PRAYER: God’s Blessings for the Rest of the Year

Image result for prayer

Hiya everyone, I decided to start a new topic — PRAYER. Prayer (from the Latin precari “to ask earnestly, beg, entreat”)[1] is an invocation or act that seeks to activate a rapport with an object of worship through deliberate communication. Prayer can be a form of religious practice, may be either individual or communal and take place in public or in private. It may involve the use of words, song or complete silence. When language is used, prayer may take the form of a hymn, incantation, formal creedal statement, or a spontaneous utterance in the praying person. There are different forms of prayer such as petitionary prayer, prayers of supplication, thanksgiving, and praise.

Heavenly Father, I give you all thanks and praise for having brought me through me the year so far. For the rest of the year, continue to pour out your blessings upon me in even greater measure. Bless my home, my work, my business, my family, dear Lord.

I lean on your promises. You will make me the head and not the tail, I will be above and not beneath. Even as others face recession and financial crises, Lord, I remain confident that you are my provider, you will never let your child go without.

O God, you are my healer and my deliverer. You bring me peace and well-being. Bless me with health oh Lord.

The Word says “by the stripes of Jesus, you are healed.” You bore our sufferings and illnesses and nailed them on the cross. And so I declare healing and well-being upon my family.

Protect your children and keep us safe in your arms. Guide our footsteps daily and lead us away from danger. In Jesus mighty name we pray, Amen!!!

MOTIVATE ME: Trust God One Day at a Time

Motivate Me

Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done . . .  Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise” (Philippians 4:6, 8b NLT, second edition).

God wants you to trust him one day at a time: “Give us this day our daily bread.” Not for next week. Not for next year. Not for next month. Just one day at a time.

Philippians 4:6 and 8 show us that there are four things that you need to do to trust God on a daily basis: “Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. . . Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise” (NLT, second edition).

  1. Worry about nothing. Why is worry such a big deal? Because it’s not just a bad habit. It’s a flat out sin! But God keeps his promises, and you can trust that he will take care of you. “Don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today” (Matthew 6:34 NLT).
  2. Pray about everything. Prayer can change things. Romans 8:32 says, “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all — how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?” (NIV) God solved your biggest problem — getting into Heaven — when he sent Jesus to die for you. If God loved you enough to send Jesus to die for you, don’t you think he loves you enough to take care of all these other problems?
  3. Thank God in all things. No matter what happens, give thanks. The Bible doesn’t say, “For all things give thanks.” It says, “In all things give thanks.” You don’t have to be thankful for bad things in your life. You should never be thankful for evil. You don’t have to be thankful for cancer or a car accident or war or abuse. But God says in everything give thanks. Why? Because you know that God’s going to take care of you. You know he’s going to meet your needs. You know he’s going to help you.
  4. Think about the right things. God gives us a list of things to think about, things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, and worthy of praise.

Where do you find things that are pure and lovely to think about? At the movies? I don’t think so. On TV? No. You will only find pure and lovely and honorable thoughts in the Word of God. Read it, study it, memorize it, and fill your mind with it. Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!” (NLT, second edition)

POWER THOUGHTS: God Is Waiting for You to Ask

PowerThoughts1

If you … know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” (Matthew 7:11 NIV)

God is the source of everything. Everything you see in the world and everything you can’t see in the world and in the universe, God made. He’s the source of every good thing in the universe.

As you depend on God as your source for everything, there are four truths you need to remember.

First, everything is a gift from God. Nothing you have, have you earned. It’s all a gift of God’s grace. If God didn’t want to give it, you wouldn’t have it.

The Bible tells us in James 1:17, “Every good and perfect gift is from above” (NIV). That’s why the Lord’s Prayer in this third phrase starts with the word “give.” “Give us this day our daily bread.” Why? Because it is a gift. You can’t earn it.

Second, there’s nothing you need that God can’t provide. You don’t know what you’re going to need the rest of this year. But whatever it is, God has the power to supply it.

The Bible says this in Philippians 4:19: “. . . My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (NIV). Glorious resources means as lavish as only God can lavish. God has unlimited resources.

Third, God wants to give you everything you need. Matthew 7:11 says, “If you … know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” (Matthew 7:11 NIV) God wants to meet your need.

And, here’s the fourth thing: He’s waiting on you.

If you have needs in your life that are not being met, it’s not God’s fault. You’re not waiting on God. He’s waiting on you! The problem is not that God doesn’t want to meet your need; the problem is that you never ask him for it. James 4:2 says, “. . . You do not have because you do not ask God.”

BIBLE STUDY: An Invitation to Pray

bible study

Verses to Read for Christmas

If you received an invitation from a highly respected person of influence to come by his or her house for coffee or to go for a walk along the river trail for some conversation, you would probably respond with eagerness and anticipation. You wouldn’t lightly discard it. And if you received two or three invitations, you would be amazed.

But what if you received a thousand invitations? Or one every day for the rest of your life?

Come to Me. Come soon. Come anytime. Come as you are. The door’s open. I am waiting for you. Let’s make time to be together. Let’s open our hearts to one another.

The Bible, from beginning to end, offers hundreds upon hundreds of invitations for us to approach the God of the Universe — to be with Him, to draw close to Him, to receive guidance and comfort, to praise and worship Him, and to simply share what’s on our hearts with Him. In many voices and in countless ways — in whispers, shouts, commands, and gentle words — God makes it clear in His Word that He wants close, intimate conversation.

And He wants it with you.

God is near, and He’s ready to listen. Meet with Him and open your heart in prayer…

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. — Jeremiah 33:3

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. — James 1:5-6

If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. — 2 Chronicles 7:14

“Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
— Psalm 91:14-16 NIV

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. — Matthew 7:7Jeremiah 33:3

Peace be with you all,
