BLOGGING THRU THE BIBLE: Enjoy being married {Song of Solomon 6 – 8}

Blogging thru Bible New

Today, we come to an end of our summer Bible study. That was a journey filled with love.

As I summarise Song of Solomon 6-8, the whole theme was about enjoying intimacy with your husband. It brings emotional joy and physical fulfilment for the union. Proverbs 8:6 and 7 going on to emphasize about being faithful to your husband. Guard vigilantly your thoughts, emotions and actions and always resist temptations.

As we move on, Proverbs 8:8-9 tells us to pursue holiness. Sex is God’s gift that is to be cherished and enjoyed for a lifetime.

Be blessed,

“He who lives in you is greater than he who is the world” (1 John 4:4)

BLOGGING THRU THE BIBLE: Cultivating a Devoted Marriage {Song of Solomon 4-5}

Blogging thru Bible New

Proverbs 4 and 5 show us three ways to cultivate a devoted marriage. Love between a man and woman in its highest form and reaches its greatest potential within the bonds of God’s covenant of marriage.

First, is to be free in our physical expression of love to your spouse. Proverbs 4:9 and Proverbs 5:13 shows how free they were in showing their expression filled with love and without any shame.

Second, we should learn to speak the language of love. Build up each other verbally and it will bring our relationship closer and more secure and at the same time, it will certainly improve our love life. Proverbs 4:1 -16 shows that.

Finally, eat and drink deeply with love. Enjoy and allow physical love to nourish love and our marriage. Proverbs 5:1 beautifully illustrates this idea.

Let’s get excited girls. Happy studying girls.

Be blessed,

BLOGGING THRU THE BIBLE: Beauty of Love {Song of Solomon 3}

Blogging thru Bible New

Song of Solomon 3 simply pours out the beauty of love. My favourite verse is Song of Solomon 3:4 (NLT), just the line  “I have found my love” is breathtaking. This Song is about a girl who recalls a dream that causes to worry about her lover’s whereabouts. Even in the middle of the night, she rose and went looking for him. If you love someone, you are willing to do anything to ensure their personal safety.

From verse 3:6, we see the scene changes to a joyful one where it looks like a wedding procession.

Today, we can show our loved one how much we love them in small actions such as getting a glass for him while he sitting in front of the telly, coming back from earlier than usual (ignoring the tube strike today) to prepare a meal or even just to sit and chat together. Sacrificing our personal needs for them.

Happy studying girls.

BLOGGING THRU THE BIBLE: The Woman {Song of Solomon 2}

Blogging thru Bible New

Today, we study Song of Solomon 2. As we read, more beautiful verse pop out. Verse 7 (NLT) “Not to awaken love until the time is right” tells us that feelings of love can create emotions that overpower reason. Young people too often rush into a relationship based on their strong feelings. But feelings aren’t enough to support a lasting relationship. This verse encourages us to wait patiently for feelings of love and commitment to develop.

STOP-3D

As we moved on, we see Verse 13 (MSG) is one of my favourites “Oh, get up, dear friend, my fair and beautiful lover – come to me”God wants sex to be motivated by love and commitment, and not lust. It is for mutual pleasure, and not selfish enjoyment. Christ’s love for us brings the passion for prayer and worship. The passion of prayer within us leads to a new life and new growth.

Finally, verse 15 (NLT) ” Catch all the foxes,those little foxes, before they ruin the vineyard of love”. How that one verse can bring out such an important message for the day. Catch those little foxes refers to all those little problems we face and ignore it as they are little. This verse points out that we oughta to solve those little problems quickly before they lead into a bigger ones.

Happy studying girls.

BLOGGING THRU THE BIBLE: The Woman {Song of Solomon 1}

Blogging thru Bible New

Scripturally, the Song of Songs is unique in that it makes no reference to “Law”, “Covenant” or to Yahweh, the God of Israel, nor does it teach or explore “wisdom” in the manner of Proverbs or Ecclesiastes. Instead, it celebrates sexual love. It gives “the voices of two lovers, praising each other, yearning for each other, proffering invitations to enjoy”. The two are in harmony, each desiring the other and rejoicing in sexual intimacy; the women (or “daughters”) of Jerusalem form a chorus to the lovers, functioning as an audience whose participation in the lovers’ erotic encounters facilitates the participation of the reader.

Song of Solomon 1 : 2 – “Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth” shows how beautiful the words are written.  Life, to be meaningful, must be joined. As we read on, the whole chapter is a fascinating poetry. The adoration between both of them simply overwhelms.

That’s exactly how we should adore our Lord. Express with our love to Him.

Happy studying girls.

God bless,

BLOGGING THRU: We Begin……{Resources for Song of Solomon}

webeginjpg

Happy Monday girls, today we start Song of Solomon.  Are you ready?

This is not an easy book to read. Songs of Solomon contains exquisite love lyrics and it is very explicit sexually. It makes a connection, between conjugal love and sex. Christians read the Songs on many levels: as the intimacy of marital love between man and woman, God’s deep love for his people, Christ’s Bridegroom love for his church, the Christian’s love for his or her Lord.
